Why this petition matters

The objective of this petition is to bring the attention of the CBSE board our concerns about the Mathematics and Science examinations.
The students of class 10 under CBSE having the same syllabus and marking criteria had been provided two different exam papers for the SCIENCE and MATHS exam. No matter how different the papers were, the difficulty level should have remained the same. Students who attended the JSK/2 series were confronted with more difficulty than students who attended the JSK/1 series.
For science (JSK/2), the paper consisted of conceptually-based questions and was lengthy. In the case of JKS/1, the in-text questions were relatively easy to crack.
In the Standard Math paper (JSK/2), questions asked for 1M MCQs had calculations for 4 to 5 marks. The time available to us wasn't adequate. Having to finish 40 questions in a short amount of time is stressful and unattainable.
Since these two subjects have a direct bearing on stream selection, students are concerned about getting a lower percentage, so we hope the necessary steps are taken. We, students hope that CBSE either don’t consider Term 1 marks of science and math or they take the required action from their side soon.
