Why this petition matters

Started by Manya Sharma

Moderation policy was ended from 2018 and before that students have got the benefit of moderation policy so just like them we want the moderation policy too. As this year due to COVID-19 exams were checked at teacher's residents only and few exams were not even conducted.

This year  Both the class 10 and class 12 exams were difficult. This will affect us. As in India board exams matter alot and everywhere we require board exam marks so we don't want our profile to be affected.

As CBSE has also declared there will be no grace marks this year and there are students who are applying to foreign universities who might not get marks as expected or predicted which will affect their admission chances. Last year students were granted grace marks so we want CBSE to allow the extension of moderation policy this year also.

We want 10-15 percent moderation like it has been happening from past years, because we deserve marks like other students.

This is not fair as the previous batches had the moderation policy and the succeeding batches would have a reduction in the syllabus. This leaves the present 10th and 12th class students with neither a reduction in the syllabus nor having the moderation policy.

I and all students of X AND XII  writing board examinations for this year request the CBSE board, Mr Prakash Javadekar, the Hon. Minister for HRD and the HRD Ministry to extend the moderation policy.

We also request to have a lenient correction for this year's board examinees as their future now rests in the hands of the CBSE board.

We, the students of class10th and  12th are not PREY to CBSE's sudden mood swings. The decision for removing the moderation policy has come up when most of the examinations have been conducted. When most of the students were prepared to score 90%or higher or whatever the score they aspire for and have filled up the colleges of their dream.
