The COVID-19 Omicron variant has just emerged in India. The Omicron Variant has notoriously high transmissibility and fatality rates. Even before this happened, students were finding it difficult to study because of how COVID-19 disrupted their study pattern and schedule. Yet, the CBSE refused to listen to the various stakeholders involved and decided to conduct 2 Board exams throughout the academic year. The result was that students faced double the pressure, but had half the academic and mental preparation. The Term 1 board exams have already started and are going in full swing. We, as students and citizens, humbly request the CBSE to take into account the prevailing circumstances and to either cancel or postpone the boards or to reform the structure of the exams in one way or the other.
