Let Footsteps Nursery have increased opening hours and outside play

Footsteps Nursery have been operating in Leighton Buzzard since 2005 and has been a nursery for over 50 years.
Some of the local residents from Albany Road have objected to an increase in opening times (of only 30 minutes am and pm) and have also objected to the children being allowed longer in the garden to play. There are current restrictions of only 2 hours per day outside time at the moment for 10 children at a time, meaning that the children only get 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes in the afternoon.
Outside play enables the children to get some well needed fresh air and interact with the children from other age groups.
Parents from the nursery have been subjected to being blocked in, verbal abuse and there was also an incident of a neighbour photographing parents and their children.
As a resident from the area, I am aware of parking issues on the streets directly and indirectly around the nursery, however this is down to the workers from the town centre parking on the streets and walking to work.
