Stop Lyme Disease Related Suicides!!!

Out of all Lyme disease sufferers, 1 in 3 commit suicide. The CDC tells us that there are 300,000 cases, new cases, each year. So, per year, we are having the possibility of 100,000 suicides each year because of Lyme disease.
Why are these numbers so high? Because we are laughed out of doctors offices, told "it's all in your head" and "you are making it up." We are in pain, we are hurting, we are depressed because of how long it really takes to cure. There are no quick fixes when it comes to Lyme disease. When you get bit by a tick, there are a lot of different bacteria and diseases you can get, Lyme being the main one we are speaking about.
Lyme disease often gets misdiagnosed for other things, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, as well as Lupus... and many other autoimmune diseases. For many years sometimes, misdiagnosis continues. My own, was misdiagnosed with many different things for over 25 years.
I'll admit, going through treatment now and staring at these paid out of pocket medical bills because my insurance company refuses to cover them makes me depressed. I can't imagine how depressed those who have Lyme disease must feel when they are unable to obtain medical treatment because of lack of funding or just not knowing that they have Lyme.
A few things we would like to demand:
1. Chronic Lyme disease isn't all in our head, and it should be treated and paid for by our insurance company by educated physicians.
2. Chronic Lyme disease patients should have mental health therapy covered through our insurance companies.
3. A Lyme disease hotline - Where we can call if we are depressed, where people will understand, not just what you get when you call 2-1-1, complete understanding.
4. The truth to be spread about how to prevent Lyme disease and other tick-born illnesses.
