Why this petition matters

Cancel cruises out of United States ports due to the rapid spread of the Cornovirus COVID-19. Hospitals can't handle hundreds or thousands of patients coming at once to a port. Cruise lines should offer a full refund or one year to rebook. Passenger safety over corporate profits. Princess AKA Carnival cruise lines and our government has neglected our citizens and have created an unfair and oppressive quarantine system.

Passengers should be quarantined onshore in a hospital or military base. Cruise lines should not be allowed to confine passengers. Cruise ships are not designed as quarantine facilities. Illness can jump from person to the next because of the ventilation systems. The spread of virus particles in the air and people kept at sea for days is inhumane.

Cruise vessels are vulnerable to the spread of infection. The incubation period is still unknown for COVID-19. There are reports from passengers of Princess Cruises AKA Carnival of poor hygiene in the food buffet area. No self-service at buffet due to lack of enough staff. The cruise industry should do away with self-serve buffets.

Close quarters and food buffets can make your trip unsafe and unhealthy. You could be quarantined for two weeks or longer. Some ports won't accept the cruise ship. Passengers call Coronovirus quarantine a 'death sentence'.
