Rodeo Austin will bring 255,000 people just 13 miles east of downtown Austin from March 14-28.  There is the danger that someone will bring coronavirus COVID-19.  If SXSW was cancelled, so should be Rodeo Austin!

The link for the event is https://rodeoaustin.com, and the planned location is Travis County Exposition Center. That is too close to the center of Austin for comfort! Besides the rodeo, there are live music concerts, a carnival, food and wine. The problem is the influx of people to Austin who could bring us dangerous disease.  

Allowing this event to take place is irresponsible in the middle of the outbreak.

The Mayor and the City of Austin need to cancel this event.
