As you may know, Andrew Tate is being talked about all over social media, both positively and negatively. This is a problem as Tate has many offensive and misleading views and is idolized by many young boys, therefore planting those views into their heads. I thought this was a minor issue involving attention seekers across the internet until recently, when I met a young boy no older than 13, who told me that Tate has lead him to believe that men are superior to women, as Tate is an “Alpha Male”, in spite of his behaviour. This made me realize that Andrew Tate’s influence is affecting me and others around me directly, putting myself and others at a potential higher risk of unacceptable, aggressive and discriminatory behaviour.  Tate is gaining popularity and fame via his social media presence and Hustler’s University app, in which he preys on boys who idolize him, convincing them to join his empire, ultimately giving Tate more wealth and endorsements. Tate has also been charged for sexual assault numerous times, as well as being openly homophobic, pro violence and misogynistic. Tate has also been caught on camera sexually harassing women as well as threatening violence upon women, constantly invalidating male emotions and mental health disorders, making him not only a misogynist but a misandrist. Tate’s presence being as big as it is, is putting many people at risk of domestic violence, hate crimes, sexual assault, discriminatory treatment and more. With this petition I hope to raise awareness about Tate’s actions, give him less of a platform and hopefully erase his social media platform. I encourage you to do your research on Tate and his actions, refuse to support him or watch his videos, (as every video you watch gives him more publicity) and boycott all of Tate’s content and businesses. If we band together for this cause, we have the power to make a change. Thank you.
