Each day the 911 system is bombarded with millions of accidental 911 calls. Most accidental calls involve some type of human error. There are shortcut buttons on most phones and wearable technology. I would implore cell phone manufacturers to remove these short cuts and encourage cell phone owners to be familiar with their phone and wearable tech capabilities to cut down on these inadvertent calls. Each 911 that reaches the system has to be called back which takes precious moments from 911 operators that could be speaking with people that are actually having emergencies. If you are in need of emergency care would you rather the 911 operator be talking to you, or calling back someone that has accidentally dialed?
