***UPDATE*** Please share this petition, we are reaching a critical point in the City’s decision and we need to show what the people want. 

We have to speak up about protecting one of southern Utah’s most beautiful parks.

West canyon park is a beautiful open space with mature trees, grass, water and sunshine. There’s a proposal to turn this into a water park which would destroy most of the organic recreation that happens there. It is situated in a quiet residential neighborhood that definitely doesn’t need any more traffic or activity. As it is now the kids can build dams in the stream, climb trees, play with their dogs, chase pinecones in the water, sleep in the shade of a tree, run, play, and explore all within supervision. Unfortunately, there is a strong belief that no one opposes this park reconstruction. While many of the ideas sound appealing, I still feel strongly this is absolutely the wrong location.
