Decrease the weightage of CBSE Term-1 Exams allowing better scores in Term-2
We all know that CBSE students studying in Class 10 and Class 12 haven't been able to handle Term-1 Exams well. Multiple reasons for this include but are not limited to Online education, lockdowns, Covid-19, MCQ examinations for the first time.
Students haven't been able to score well not because they don't understand the concepts but because of ambiguity of answers and errors in question papers and answer keys.
We don't think its efficient to cancel any exam but do think that as these exams were held for the first time in MCQ format, perhaps decreasing the weightage of Term-1 Exams from 50% to 30-40% in the overall result computation will lead to a better outlook in terms of students results and performance and will allow them to perform better in Term-2.
We request CBSE, Education Ministry and our Prime Minister Narendra Modi to have a look at the problem in front of us and perhaps use this petition as a possible solution for the future of these aspiring students.
