Remove Phil Simms from any future Redskins' broadcasts.
Mr. Simms has recently stated that he will try not to use the Redskins' name in the upcoming game against the NY Giants. This is unacceptable and offensive to Redskin fans everywhere. Mr. Simms is there to give unbiased insight to the game, time and again he seems incapable of doing so, trying to impose his opinion on the viewers.
Update: During the 9/18/14 broadcast of the Atlanta/Tampa Bay game, Mr. Simms used the team name, Redskins, no less than 3 times. We do not know, however, if this is a change of heart or force of habit.
Please remove Phil Simms from any future Redskins' broadcasts. Mr. Simms has recently stated that he will try to avoid using the name of the Washington Redskins during his broadcast. We are not asking that Mr. Simms lose his job, just that he not broadcast anymore games played by the Washington Redskins. It is not fair to Redskins' fans and it is not fair to Mr. Simms by putting him in a position when he may have to use a term that he recently decided might not be appropriate. We did notice, however, Mr. Simms used the team name, Redskins, no less than three times during the 9/18/14 TNF broadcast. If Mr. Simms has no objection to using the team name during other game broadcasts, he should have no objection using it while calling the Redskins' games. We do not know whether it was a force of habit or change of heart, hopefully the latter and if that is indeed the case, then we have no objection to Mr. Simms calling Redskins' games. Thank you for your time and consideration of this matter.
