CBS's Big Brother, Cast More Racial Minorities Going Forward
Why this petition matters

Since its inception in 2000, CBS's reality competition show, Big Brother, has made some very questionable casting decisions. Over the course of its 22 seasons, casting for the show has shown a clear racial bias, where the majority of the 16 houseguests have always been of NON-minority racial backgrounds.
Because of this bias, not only is there a disproportionate amount of POC winners compared to NON-POC winners, but there has also been an overwhelming amount of racist and "mob mentality" behavior in the game to houseguests of color.
Our mission with this petition is simple: Get CBS, Executive producer Allison Grodner, and Big Brother casting directors to feature MORE houseguests of color going forward. Every season, there are 16 houseguests in total. We would love for a more diverse racial makeup in the cast — perhaps 8 houseguests of color, and 8 houseguests that are not of minority background.
Simply put, we want the cast of Big Brother to actually be reflective of the incredible, ever-growing, diversity of the United States. We have enough racial problems in this country (and in this world) as it is, and we would love to have one of our favorite shows be a positive trendsetter in terms of diversifying casting on TV.
