Request to CBS 60 Minutes Investigate the City of Fort Worth Leadership regarding covered-up corruption and incompetent leadership and we ask that CBS investigative program 60 Minutes investigate. The City fired its first African American Police Chief while he was investigating City Hall corruption without giving him a public hearing required by the City charter. The former Police Chief now has a Temporary Restraining Order against the City entered by a Texas Judge preventing the City from hiring a new Police Chief because the city failed to follow its Charter when it terminated him. In the last four months we have learned that the City fabricated evidence concerning compliance with federal laws regarding access to the FBI's Criminal Justice Information System, fired two cyber-security employees for blowing the whistle concerning unsecure network information,destroyed information protected by the Open Meetings Act, allowed fraudsters posing as contractors to con the City out of more than $500,000 in taxpayer funds, stole City employee payroll information, left City employee medical data unprotected on City servers so that anyone could access it. A white board member was given a public hearing before he was removed for making inappropriate racial social media postings, but the Police Chief was denied the same right. Five black men were shot by white police officers in one month. The Mayor has a five-person 24/7/365 police detail for her "security" funded at taxpayer expense who all recently went on a tour of Great Britain during the middle of all of this. The city covered up the mysterious suicide of an employee in the IT department who was found dead in his office at City hall. An IT Department survey complains that the department bully and intimidate employees. African American police officers have filed racial discrimination lawsuits against the city. City employees have been caught sending instant messages to each other rating the physical appearance of women in the office. The City of Fort Worth is the 13th largest City in the United States and operates like it is still in the 1950s. Through this petition we request that the CBS television 60 Minutes show investigate and expose the City's failing leadership.
