This is an Oro-medonte, Ontario councillor’s attitude toward others which is disgusting.

Councillor Ian Veitch represents the Horseshoe Valley area

The meeting was supposed to be about an application in which almost 20 exact applications were granted permission. This application was not! All the others were made by Caucasian applicants. Watch these video clips or watch the entire meeting which was posted on YouTube or available through the Oro-medonte Township office.

We need to be aware of the behaviour of our elected leaders. The comments made do NOT represent the majority of Oro-Medonte., but rather just a few local residents in Horseshoe Valley, (HVPOA) members, which Councillor Ian Veitch was the Vice President! Racial comments and suggestions are obvious but everyone has their own perception. Comments like these should not be made by political leaders or anyone and are not acceptable.

Discrimination and racial slurs were made when talking to the East Indian couple that this councillor spoke these words to directly. This type of behaviour is DISGUSTING . I feel this should make headlines given the content and context. The video attached was just clips of the hour+ meeting. The clip is real and the full length video is proof
