Every year for the last 400 years The aul lammas fair has taken place in Ballycastle in the month of August usually the last Monday and Tuesday,yellow man, honeycomb,ice-cream,clothes,household stuff, toys (which aren't great but kids love) amusements, such a variety..live music , chip vans,bustling streets ..ok maybe need to look at the amount of people coming into the town. Understandably last year due to coronavirus it was not able to take place ,but with restrictions lifting an open air venues now getting the go ahead I think our wee town needs the go ahead. The artisan market can go head on a Sunday which is pulling in great crowds even at the min so I think personally it's only fair we can get this back on track before The Causeway coast an glens council cancel it for good..This fair marks the end of summer and gives the children some fun,also adults enjoy meeting people they maybe haven't seen since the previous year in this year a couple of years ago..It's an important time for Ballycastle and I think the council need to sort this out and let this go ahead.. bring back our fair!!!it's boosts businesses an does great things for our town .so let's get signing folks !!
