Many incoming students at Clark Atlanta University are not able to apply for housing because they have a hold on their account due to the Covid vaccination. I understand that we are required to have it, but Clark Atlanta‘s health services and student affairs team has failed to tell us that until the day that housing opened up that “you will not be able to apply for housing unless you are fully vaccinated with booster shots”  and it is a inconvenience. On the checklist it states that housing would open first and the Covid vaccine ( just the vaccine) would be due July 1st. It said nothing about boosters. Many of us including myself have already paid the $475 confirmation fee and now they’re telling us that we can’t apply for housing and attend if we don’t have the vaccination with boosters. Everyone from the school seems to be saying something different at this point on their side. I’m just kindly asking that they extend the booster policy till everyone ACTUALLY starts school and us incoming freshman won’t miss out on housing and have no where to stay when we all get Atlanta.
