Create Athletic Gender Equality In Washington

All genders, are facing inequality in middle and high school sports around Washington They are being segregated, and stereotyped. Based on what sports they should and should not be playing, just by gender. It's majorly important for adults, teens, and kids to all have equal opportunities for competitive sports. Including but not limited to Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, etc. In order to make this change, our states senators, or our 5th legislator Cathy McMorris Rodgers. Can give us the change and edit title IX in order to receive full co-ed or gender equal opportunities all over the U.S not just Washington State. If we get the solution we are looking for. Genders will and wont be stereotyped based on sports, and we will not be segregated into different sports. For example I'm a male in 10th grade I currently go to Central Valley High School. I was recently rejected from a competitive volleyball team since I was a "boy". They specifically included in the email that in the policy appendix 2 for Washington Interscholastic Athletic Association that boys may not join a girls only sport if there was equal opportunities for both girls and boys sports. and the exact reason why there should be co-ed sports we wouldn't have this situation and all I wanted was to play volleyball. but if there isn't and won't be a solution. How will there ever be gender equality?
