- There is now a policy in my sons school that hair cannot be less than a number 2 grade. How this makes a difference to his or anyone else's learning or teaching is completely at a loss to me. Pupils that are found to have hair that is too short are sent to 'Step Up'
This impairs their learning as they aren't being taught, They are just plonked in front of a computer screen.
I understand why uniforms are implemented, employers have uniform policies in place but in no employment that I have ever happened across has hair being 'too short' ever been a problem so as a school rule it's basically making pupils 'conform' to having no individuality and be a sheep. They are all about you are your own person, be who you want to be but actually that is hypocritical.
If you agree with me, that hair length doesn't have an impact on learning then please sign and share.
In a world where there is a global pandemic and lives have been turned upside down, how ridiculous is it to punish our children for having a smart hair style
