Start To Register Cats In The Cassowary Coast
This petition had 62 supporters
Cats are an issue with in the Cassowary Coast Regional Council (CCRC) and they don't need to be registered and this seem unfair to the community.
By state law, it is up to the council if cats are to be registered and the CCRC is a council that allows cats not to be registered.
Dogs need to be registered so why not cats.
Cats hunt and kill wildlife and being based in Mission Beach that is surrounded by world heritage areas it seems that registering cats should happen in the community.
This will raise funds for the CCRC and give the true number of cats in the community, as it stands now there is no records of how many cats are in the Cassowary Coast.
I run a story about roaming dogs in the community on Mission Beach News and a few people commented on how bad cats were in the community roaming and killing wildlife.
Please sign this petition to have the law changed to having cats registered in the CCRC
