I’ve started this petition to raise awareness of the sexist dress code that has been established in the cashmere school district. Signing this petition means you support the movement to bring this school district into this generation. Men established this dress code in the first place to protect other men from becoming aroused. Instead of putting oppression upon women, we should teach the upcoming men of this generation how to have self-restraint and respect for women. The dress code limits people of ethnic origins from wearing head wraps of any kind. It also targets women by sexualizing garments of clothing that are worn by women of all ages. Everyone has a different physical build and it is hard to find “school-appropriate” clothing in the current fashion industry. Generalizing body types into one category must be stopped. We all are different and that’s what makes us special.
