As a worker of a franchised gas station, or customer service representative, the closures of casinos have heavily impacted our traffic of customers purchasing lottery. This influx of gamblers has caused massive lines, a mass influx of personal contact with paper exchange, crowding in the stores and an overall frustration on our limited staff and safety of health. These non-essential purchases are burdening the less thought of workers risking their, and their families health, by trying to get a check. Only to be bombarded with an influx of mass crowds trying to win the lottery (even though the lottery offices are closed). This non taxed “income” needs to be postponed, due to the fact that cooperations aren’t trying to fix this due to profit, while the workers are coming into direct contact with desperate people spending hundreds on pieces of paper they can’t even collect. Please postpone the lottery state wide in order to decrease unnecessary traffic in essential businesses  providing services to actual essential workers.
