Stop Migrant Detention Facility from coming to Carroll County, GA

0 have signed. Let’s get to 2,500!

URGENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Friday, July 5th, the Times-Georgian ran a extensive article detailing how Carroll County is being considered for future site of a migrant detention center capable of holding up to 500 children. We have read detailed stories of inhumane treatment of the people who are held at these camps at the hands of private companies and the Trump administration. We are asking folks to show up at the next Carroll County Commission Board meeting and express our overwhelming concern and disapproval of this to our elected officials, and inquire as to what they are actively doing to prevent this from taking place here in our community. You can find a link to the Facebook Event Group organized by the Carroll County GA Democrats here: https://www.facebook.com/events/2109276089372632/

Please take the time to share this event.

There will be a Carroll County Commissioners Board meeting taking place on August 6th, at 6pm at the old Carroll County Courthouse located at :

311 Newnan Street, Carrollton, GA, 30117

PLEASE SHOW UP TO EXPRESS YOUR DISAPPROVAL!!!! CALL CARROLL COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AND LET THEM KNOW THAT WE CANNOT LET THIS HAPPEN IN OUR COMMUNITY AND THAT WE DO NOT STAND FOR THE INHUMANE TREATMENT OF HUMAN BEINGS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES:
