For many years now I have been struggling with disabilities. In 2012 I was in a coma and paralyzed. I lost a lot that year. Bacterial Meningitis is something I had to be careful of, my body couldn't fight the bacteria and it led me to almost die twice.I was 5 years of age when I first got ill.The second time changed my life, I was 12 years old and like normal kids I went to school and came home, hung out with my friends and played games with my family. However one day I had a gruesome headache, I tried to sleep it off but that did not work. I got up to let my mom know and it was so bad I dropped to my knees. Then and there she freaked out, grabbed her keys and carried me to the car. I don't remember anything after that. I woke up from a 2 week coma getting told the the Meningitis had attacked my brain causing me to have a stroke on the lower left side of my brain, it caused injury to my spinal cord and my brain stem. I had to relearn a lot over again.I had to reteach myself how to walk, talk, write, eat and drink all over again. Even though the most hard part is done now I still have a lot to worry about. I am setting up a school based charity to support and help disabled kids. I want to go around to Albuquerque schools to public speak and help other kids understand what it's like to have disabilities. This petition is to help me see how many supporters (even from other states other than New Mexico) are out there and are willing to make this bigger and help these kids smile and move forward to a better future. I ask you to sign this petition so I can make a difference in this world.
