We, the undersigned individuals, are dog owners, and users of the Fenced Dog Park at Anderson Community Park in Carrboro. The Dog Park is an important part of our human lives, as well as the lives of our canine pets. However, the turf of the Fenced Dog Park is in poor condition. There are several large holes that stay filled with stagnant muddy water, and cause a hazard for pets and humans alike. The longstanding neglect of the Dog Park turf is hindering our ability to get fresh air and exercise for ourselves and our dogs. We respectfully request that the Town of Carrboro allocate the resources necessary to improve drainage, and repair holes in the park turf.
