The Government of Ontario and Metrolinx have plans to sell GO Station naming rights to potential sponsors.

As part of the agreements, they also plan on giving away ridership data, scrubbed of personally identifying information, to those sponsors.

The government should not be selling GO Transit ridership data as a revenue stream. Instead, it should follow-through with its commitment of publicly releasing government data on its website as a way to "encourage innovation and solve problems through new ideas and applications"

Signing this petition means that you: 

1) DO NOT want the Government of Ontario and Metrolinx to sell GO Station naming rights 

2) DO NOT want to give potential sponsors ridership data, even if it is scrubbed of personally identifying information

3) Want Metrolinx and the Ontario Government to RELEASE the scrubbed GO Transit ridership data to the public as a way to "encourage innovation and solve problems through new ideas and applications" as their website states.
