Several retailers across the nation have temporarily closed their doors due to the Coronavirus outbreak. The CDC has suggested keeping groups of people at ten or less in order to combat the virus. Dealerships do not provide essential needs like food or necessities. By remaining open, they are risking the lives of their employees and customers. There are many aspects of the business that do not allow the six feet apart rule. In order for social distancing to to be effective, everyone has to play a part—including dealerships. The federal government is currently working on several stimulus plans so companies can stay afloat should they temporarily close. The car industry brings in billions in revenue every year.
