We want to see the parks and beaches re-opened in Miami-Dade County immediately. It seems that the local tax payers and voters are suffering at the cost of the irresposible spring breakers. Despite the circumstances currently happening world-wide, it is unfair to not allow local tax payers access to the beaches and parks. We are currently prisoners of our homes and it is not acceptable. What about the mental health of the thousands of people who could not be impacted by the Wuhan Virus? We can't work, we can't go out to eat, we can't get groceries we desire, and now we cannot enjoy the great green spaces our county has to offer. There needs to be some kind of compromise, and opening the beaches and parks immediately needs to be it. People need to be able to enjoy the great outdoors, responsibly following the social-distancing guidelines, at this time. If Mayor Carlos Gimenez does not allow us access to the green spaces, he needs to be recalled as soon as law and order is restored.
