Through out this passed term professor Liu made little to no effort to help his student prepare for the evaluations.His teaching style doesn't help prepare the student of what is expect during tests and quizzes.Marking the tests is total different story, its expected that students follow what has been taught during lectures and cannot use other problem solving methods since the TAs do not understand those methods but they lead to the same solution in the end.Engineering student should be allowed to use other methods that lead eventually to the same solution and should not be forced to use one problem solving method that has not been taught the proper way the professor. The final exam had been marked very harsh by the TAs and class average is around 30%. I wish this petition reaches its intended audience and a proper decision is made regarding this issue. We as student want our lab grades to be used in as the final exam grades, there will not be any benefit of a make up exam as the same thing will happen. Our lab reports show a proper and thorough understanding and application of theory.
