Us carers get carers allowance and are left it deal with life. 

I am a single mother with no family. I have asked social services to step in as I’m struggling with my autistic son , they’ve point blank refused as he’s not “severely” disabled and “should” be able to manage.

im fed up of us parents with children with additional needs getting cast aside , we need to be heard , we need to be seen, the government , dla ect all follow a script . My son was turned down for higher DLA because he needed to score 10 but he scored 9! 

I’ve rang together for children , carers centre , social services, crisis team, telling them all how I have a planned suicide in place and how I want to avoid it with the help from services. Just to get told “you don’t fit the criteria”

you have to physically harm your children, let them live in squalor or neglect them before any services step in, instead of listening to us and avoid that happening, there is help for those who abuse drink and drinks, but for us who suffer mental health, or have been blessed with a child with additional needs , we don’t matter, it’s wrong! We deserve as much support and care as anyone else
