Why this petition matters

Care providers in North East London welcome the introduction of integrated care boards (ICB’s) bringing together all parts of the health and care system to look at how we use the limited resources to improve the service delivery for the people we care for and support.

However, it will never achieve its potential unless care providers are represented on the ICB alongside our health colleagues, and that the voice of the care sector is heard.  As care providers we believe Care Providers' Voice is best placed to collate and represent the views of the sector.

Additional information

Care Providers' Voice is a free network that supports North East London providers in creating a better environment for the care sector. It was created by care providers, for providers. The three objectives are to ensure care providers are; represented in decision making across health and care, supported in recruitment to expand and sustain the workforce, and, to collate resources via the free hub for providers.

Every borough has a WhatsApp group for providers. Please text 07752 799 953 with your name, service name and type and your borough to be added to the relevant group.

CPV has partnered with NEL local authorities, DWP, DHSC, Skills for Care, NEL HCP, BHR CPEN, Care City, Keeping Well NEL, to name a few. We represent the sector by sitting on boards at local authority, BHR, NEL and London levels with regular engagement with the DHSC and the Cabinet Office.

Since starting our recruitment campaign in March 2022, in the London Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge, we have had over 1900 candidates apply to work in the sector and of that 116 offers made by providers for new starters to work in the sector. We are able to offer free e-learning training for all providers and their teams including PAs. We are currently recruiting for a Care Certificate Assessor to support managers ensure their teams complete the Care Certificate, and a Nurse Educator Facilitator to support student nurses and nursing associates to do their placements in the care sector.

More information can be found on our website which is due to go live in July 2022.
