Time to ban Smoking for hearts' sake

Many people die from heart disease each year. There are many causes and types of heart disease, such as:
- Stroke
- Vascular disease
- Heart attacks
- Coronary heart disease
- Congenital heart disease
All of these types of heart disease affect all age groups.
Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death globally, taking 17.9 million lives each year.
Many of these deaths are found in low or middle-income countries.
Most cardiovascular diseases can be prevented by addressing behavioural risk factors such as smoking, unhealthy diet and obesity, lack of exercise and harmful use of alcohol.
It is important to detect cardiovascular disease as early as possible so that treatment can commence.
I read a book called "As Fast As I Can" and it had a profound impact on me. "As Fast As I Can" was about a girl with a special syndrome of heart disease called "Long QT syndrome" here is a bit about it.
Long QT syndrome is an electrical condition of the heart that affects the heart's rhythm. A person with long QT syndrome may experience fast, erratic heartbeats when exercising, or at times of emotional excitement. This may cause fainting, seizures or, in some cases, sudden death.
Smoking does not lead to Long QT syndrome I would have to admit but it got me intrested in heart diseases and what smoking can cause.
So I want to ban cigarettes from being sold and in use for any human in Australia.
Smoking causes cancer, heart disease, stroke, lung diseases, diabetes.
Tobacco smoking can lead to lung cancer, chronic bronchitis, and emphysema.
Smoking tobacco is bad for your health and causes serious problems for your lungs and heart.
Thank you for reading and I hope you feel the same way as me.
