Parking for residents, visitors and tourists in Jim Thorpe has been a tremendous headache for decades. With new parking ordinances and the increasing demand for parking, it is time that the Carbon County Commissioners and Jim Thorpe Borough Council re-evaluate the feasibility, sustainability and funding sources for a multi-story/multilevel parking garage or parking structure. 

An esthetically designed parking garage in an appropriate location will benefit residents, visitors and tourists. Possible locations should be evaluated with residential/business impact and traffic patterns in mind.
