Many people in the deaf and hard of hearing community are not able to enjoy movies in theaters do to not having captions on the screen. Some theaters do have a device that is incredibly hard to use that is placed in the cup holder, but generally when asked for it they aren’t sure if they have it or where it is located and take a very long time to find it, often resulting in missing the start of the movie, because of this many deaf and HoH people have stopped going to movie theaters. On a cruise ship they put the captions on screen and it is so much easier for deaf and hard of hearing to enjoy. Help the deaf/HoH  community enjoy movies in the same way hearing do! 

*as of 2021 AMC theaters added captions to “some” of their movies in “some” of their locations.  This needs to be available in every theater.
