On the 27h of September I went to Capitec Bank Facebook to vent about an unauthorized debit order which has been an issue, immediately I get a link from Capitec to inbox and further links in assistance of my regards not knowing I'm being scammed. The next day I try to buy airtime and to my surprise it says insufficient funds which was impossible as I had gotten paid on the 27th and had savings. I went on the Facebook page and noticed someone warned me about the scammers and that I should not click any links but unfortunately it was too late. I went to the bank and realized I was scammed R9223.23 and my debit orders reversed by the scammers. How does the Capitec system work if the scammers could go on my app without my phone for authentication. Clearly this is an inside job, a consultant told me that they have a lot of fraud cases coming from inside the bank hence they are always firing and hiring staff. Other Banks prioritize you first as their customer and give you your money back while investigating but not Capitec Bank, you will suffer in poverty and headache's only for them to come back and say we are sorry but the scammers already utilized your funds. So Capitec Bank won't be paying you. I'm still affected by this and it will take me time to recover financially.
