Billy the Bums has a trading history of 18 years at Pineslopes Shopping Centre - Fourways. We are a key destination outlet as a social hang out spot for all cosmopolitan people. We are the longest trading bar and entertainment outlet in the area. 

Our staff compliment of 51 employees are dependent on the outlet which further supports their extended families. Our people are the cleaners, barmen, waitrons & many other staff that rely on BILLYS.

We like most entertainment outlets have been crippled by the on-going challenges of the Covid Pandemic and the lockdown restrictions that continues to limit our trading ability.

We have financially re-invested over the last 22 months to keep the business relevant and operational with the hope that life will revert to normal and the business can recover from this devastation. 

With the pandemic in mind, we are now in the 4th wave which will further impact the business operations with possible tightening of lockdown restrictions.

We have always and continue to support the Landlord and our patrons however the Landlord wishes for us to vacate the premises even though we continue to pay rent as per what we agreed earlier in the year.

The Landlord wants us to revert to full rentals as of November 2021 or they will eject us from the premises. This does make any business sense when we are still limited by curfew and government restrictions. 

We write this petition to our patrons to assist us in keeping our doors open and  request the Landlord to allow an open engagement and take into account the length of our partnership to find an amicable solution going forward.
