Add Another Bus to the Austin CapMetro 640 Route

The 640 route (“Forty Acres”), which runs through the University of Texas in Austin, has two busses that run Monday through Friday. Two busses are not enough for people to get to where they need to be on time. The two busses are consistently late (not at the fault of anyone, just a result of traffic/pedestrians on campus), and the online schedule is seldom correct; I have found myself waiting 10-15 minutes for a bus that claimed to be 3 minutes away, or the bus will arrive on time but will no longer be in service, causing me to wait an additional 15 or so minutes for the next one. This is unacceptable, as I (and many other people) have been up to 20 minutes late to classes, meetings, and appointments, despite showing up at the bus stop with ample time to reach our destination. I feel that this issue could absolutely be resolved by adding another bus to the 640 route; routes such as the 661 (“Far West”) almost always have at least one bus at its primary stop every 5 minutes because of how many busses are on that route, and I believe a route that is used by many students and faculty deserves similar, if not the same, resources. I greatly appreciate CapMetro for providing free transportation for UT students and faculty, but see no point in utilizing this if I rarely get to my classes on time as a result of it. The 640 route needs another bus.
