Why this petition matters

Started by Stuart Shipley

Sign this petition to persuade the government to cap the price of fuel to a maximum of £1.55 per litre.

During lockdown the price was as low as £1 per litre and still the Oil Companies and Fuel stations made profits.

The Chancellor promised 5p per litre back to us the consumer, we got on average 2.6p per unleaded litre and only 1.6p per diesel litre.

Hauliers, couriers and Bus companies being forced to increase their prices, driving inflation and interests rates higher and higher, as well as forcing car owners to overpay for fuel.

We need the Government to serve the people and put a cap at £1.55 per litre for the next 2 years,  which is still over 50% increase from 2 years ago.

Stop the profiteering and exploitation  support transport and the people in paying a fair price, help keep inflation in check, Fuel prices drive the cost of all goods as Transport is at the heart of all goods and services.
