I pick up litter from the beach every morning which includes a lot of plastic and cardboard (the majority of items found). Unfortunately the nearby bins are landfill bins so I am removing the rubbish from potentially ending up in the sea to be transferred to landfill. 

I am really disappointed that in the current environmental climate there are NO recycling bins on our beach in Herne-Bay or Whitstable. 

I would like the local authority to put a sticker on the existing bins in Herne-Bay and Whitstable (and other beaches) to indicate they are for recycling or paint a few existing bins NOT put more plastic bins out which just creates more plastic . The local authority (Canterbury City Council) could sub divide the existing bins also into general waste and recyclable waste. I think this would really help our environment.
