We live in a quiet, residential area. There is a proposal for a Cannabis Dispensary to be established at 1196 Pacific Avenue. Whether you were born and raised here, or have recently moved to this beautiful, safe and clean neighborhood of Upper Chinatown, we want to keep our neighborhood safe, clean and a place we can all enjoy. 

We have many reasons for wanting this Cannabis Dispensary idea shut down entirely. Some major concerns include: 1) The allure it brings to the crime element and the exposure to vulnerable seniors, particularly in the current climate. 2) The already difficult parking scarcity and serious problems double parking would create. 3) Our neighborhood has many young children, including some families right next door, and like with proximity to a school, it’s a bad idea.

Some Highlights: We live in a primarily Residential area and the limited Commercial area needs to be able to serve the entire community. The higher potential for increased crime, theft and violence, the traffic and double parking on a narrow street, and children and seniors exposed to these things don't serve the community well. The potential for an attractive nuisance isn't what we want for our neighborhood. 

We would like to see something more inclusive of our community that services our more general needs, e.g. Grocery Store, Bakery, Laundromat, etc. things that we all need and use.
