I am signing because Hepatitis C infection can be cured and we should be taking advantage of the opportunity DAAs provide to cure this disease.

I look after patients with HCV infection and many although they have active disease and are infectious are unable to pay for their treatment and do not have access through their provincial plan.

Nous avons des traitements extrêmement efficaces. Il faut maintenant identifier les personnes infectées par le VHC et les GUÉRIR. Un programme national de lutte contre cette maladie permettra de la contrôler puis de l'éliminer. Les canadiens en bénéficieront et nous en seront tous très fiers. La science à fait une énorme partie du travail. Attelons-nous maintenant à GUÉRIR.

This is a no brainer, something we can and should do to make our world a better place. I am someone who has been cured of hep C and think the new 'DAA' cures should be available and affordable for everyone.
