Allow men to join the race for life!

Race for life - Cancer research UK.
Race for life is a charity run that raises money and awareness for cancer research UK, it currently only allows women to take part which unnecessarily limits the amount of money that can be raised.
The race for life website states that the race is 'non-competitive and celebratory' and that entry is restricted to women only, 'due to the wishes of our participants'. If the race is non-competitive and the only reason for the restriction, is what race for life think is it's participants preference, then let's show them that we DO want men to be able to participate.
Tell race for life that aiming their charity at women is a good strategy to attract support but to exclude men based solely on their gender is inadmissible. If they want to keep women feeling safe they should implement strict behaviour rules and enforce them, not outlaw an entire assortment of individuals based on their gender.
Everybody should have the right to race and raise money for the charity as women are not the only gender to get cancer, women are also not the only one's to lose loved ones to the disease. Both genders are in the fight for cancer and both genders should have the right to raise money for the cause.
So if you believe men should also have the right to run in the race for life then please sign this petition.
