#cancelhannah

A lot of people on TikTok from the BIPOC community have heard about _lady_hannah. This creator continuously posts videos with problematic behaviour. She has posted videos making fun of the Asian community, the African American community, the indigenous community and the list goes on. Her videos are constantly reported for hate speech however tiktok finds that there is no violation with her videos. The most recent video, this creator ordered a costume from where you can only assume is Party City and has decided to make yet another video. She claims to have “indigenous” roots. However, as an indigenous person, we know our regalia does not come from wish, party city or Amazon. (Please note I am not dignifying blood quantum)
A live session was held previously to educate this creator on how problematic her behaviour was as us in the indigenous community know that our regalia are not costumes. Right after this creator left the live session, she went and made a video about how there’s racism towards white people. When indigenous creators were speaking to her, she was trying not to laugh. She was not there to learn.
What’s even more disturbing is that she dressed up in her “costume” and pretended to be Matoaka. Matoaka was our first known and reported MMIW. She was a child. It’s completely distasteful that TikTok allows her to continue to make these types of videos.
Please sign this petition to let TikTok know that we are not ok with how this creator conducts herself and we need to #cancelhannah.
