Our servicemen and women risk their lives to defend the freedoms and uphold values that many take for granted, and to have their sacrifices belittled by such contemptuous words is utterly unacceptable.

In light of this, I urge the Government and our esteemed King to take immediate action and cancel the planned state visit to the United States. Engaging in such diplomatic pleasantries after these offensive comments would not only be a disservice to our brave soldiers but would also send the wrong message to both our troops and the public.

Our servicemen and women deserve the utmost respect and recognition for their sacrifices. We cannot, as a nation, stand by while their contributions are undermined by one of the most influential leaders globally. This is not just about diplomatic relations; it’s about standing up for our heroes and maintaining the dignity of our nation on the world stage.
