We want to thank you and let you know about our upcoming activities

We have received over 10,000 signatures!  Thank you to everyone that has supported our voice as members of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation, the collective of the Chippewas of Saugeen First Nation and Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation.  We are overwhelmed by your support for this cause and wish to convey our sincere appreciation to you all.  Our Right to Free, Prior and Informed Consent and what the Lake is telling us matters.  In two weeks, we will be bringing this petition to the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commissions Public Hearing on the renewal of Bruce Power’s 10 year operating licence renewal that includes their proposed Major Component Replacement Project.  With intervenor status, we will make our presentation on Tuesday May 29, 2018 shortly after 6:30 pm at the TownePlace Suites Marriott, Highland Conference Room, 19 Millennium Way Kincardine, Ontario. More information and our written submission can be found here: http://www.nuclearsafety.gc.ca/eng/the-commission/hearings/cmd/index.cfm There is More You Can Do to Support!  We are organizing a multi-location event to draw strength from our connection to Lake Huron and to prepare to bring forward our voices on behalf of the Water. This is a grassroots initiative with no funding. It is time that we ask ourselves, if not us than who? If we do not make a stand for the Water, than as Future Ancestors will we be living up to our obligations to Future Generations? Who is looking after the Heath and Well-being of Lake Huron? Help us get the word out on Facebook by visiting and sharing our event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/374653043032811/ Please consider giving to our cause by donating to our crowdsource page. All donations will be used to offset the costs of organizing this grassroots initiative:  https://www.youcaring.com/lakehuronfuturegenerations-1185699  Gichi Miigwech | Thank You | Merci Biidaabinokwe & Waasekom
