The Canadian Federal Government Needs to Take More Action to Fight Climate Change
Why this petition matters
Our planet and country in crisis is something the Canadian Federal Government has not put as a priority.
Climate change is one of the biggest threats both in Canada and around the world. We are already able to see the effects of climate change through deforestation, stronger UV rays, urbanization, and much more.
The lack of education and awareness about global warming and climate change is one reason it is unfortunately not put as a priority for many. Climate change disasters should not be covered up but instead covered by news stories.
There should be more resources so that we as a community and country can help and stay educated on the pressing matters of the environment around us.
People should be knowledgeable about the consequences of their actions when they buy single-use items or buy wood products that don’t respect Indigenous land. We fortunately still have some time to make a difference, but soon we won’t be able to and our actions will undoubtedly be irreversible. The Government needs to protect the wildlife we have left, introduce a more sustainable lifestyle for the country, educate more people on the matters of climate change and prevent any more unnecessary industrialization on green space.
This petition is pressing for the Federal Government to make lasting change through educating others and coming up with more sustainable options, starting with people like you willing to fuel that change.
