Music from artists who are just climbing up the charts is very important to me and our culture. Smaller bands will not be able to afford this and thus will not come here. It is an outrageous amount of money and it will mean the death of the small music scene in Canada. The Conservative government should be ashamed of itself.

Because many of the Latin Salsa, Bachata and other artists play at smaller venuw, and it would be very hard for them to come here OR venues will charge more per ticket to help with these costs. Either way very bad. Charge the bands/venues that can afford it!

Why would you want to discourage international artists from playing here? Our music is sheltered and one-dimensional already.

Canadian Artists are enriched by the exchange with meeting/playing w international acts. This hurts smaller venues and smaller artists.

So many American and international bands won't even make that much money a night. So why punish those band who want to play in your country?
