I have just turned 65 in January of this year and made the transition from Provincial Disability to Old Age Security and Guaranteed Income Supplement. I have also been a student at a local college. The pandemic shut down my courses half way through and did not start again for almost a year. Because I had to take student CERB because my plans were shot to hell by the shut down the Federal Government and Services Canada have taken away mine and other Seniors Guaranteed Income Supplement. I was left with only my Old Age Security payment of $834.28. When I called Services Canada they told me I made too much money last year and you will have to wait a year until we recalculate next July, 2022. I have now had to go back to the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction to get topped off at the new Persons with a Disability rate of approximately $1300.00 a month. I am still short over $300.00 per month on my income. I had a hard enough time living on that much money. The Trudeau government imposed this lock down and messed things up badly. I demand they recalculate and give back Seniors Guaranteed Income Supplement. Please sign this petition and send a message to the Federal Government of Canada. Thank you
