Fund more schools for the blind in Canada

My granddaughter, Alexis was born legally blind. In Canada there is only one school left for children that are blind. This is in Brantford, Ontario.
Alexis was enrolled in the W Ross McDonald school for the blind in Brantford, Ontario. She completed Kindergarten.
When my son, daughter in law, Alexis and her younger sister Camile, relocated to Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, it came to be known that there are not any schools throughout Canada, other than in Ontario, that teaches the blind. There are many schools in Canada that aid the deaf.
Alexis has been in a normal school, since she came here 2 years ago. Alexis should be going into grade 3, however being left behind, she is in grade 1. This is not fair, as she has the ability to learn, however will never be able to do the work of the other students due to her disability.
There are support groups for Alexis through the CNIB, and an aide at the school that is dedicated to Alexis. The aide is wonderful, however she does not have braille training, and she deals with more than one child that has a disability. The CNIB is very supportive, however it is an agency and is also funded by the government and can/ could be affected by cuts.
This petition is for Alexis, and other children that face this issue. I think all children deserve the right as Canadians for equal education, regardless of disability.
Please help me petition this.
Please remember that the deaf can see, but the blind cannot.
