The families need answers and closure to what could have possibly been a preventable ordeal., or maybe not. To you it may not make a difference as it did not happen to you, but for the families, it is more important than you would believe. If it was not preventable, then they will at least know the truth and deal with the closure in their own personal way. They have suffered far too long, shed so many tears already. If the shoe were on the other foot, it would have been dealt with a long, long time ago.? Every time I think of the passing of my friend, I also am left with questions and I can’t help but feel rage towards our system. So why not take away all of the bureaucratic bs and give the families what they deserve. FINAL CLOSURE, which doesn’t include a lifetime of questioning the accident. Think of the wives, girlfriends, children, mothers, fathers, uncles. aunt’s, brothers, sisters, and grandparents. Please forgive me if I’ve forgotten anyone.

A crew will already be up there to recover the shipwreck off Bligh Island that went down in 1968 and is now finally leaking bunker fuel oil into the sea - U can google it. Mays well efficiently get ahead of this one and get 2 birds stoned

These families need closure and the tugboat is full of fuel which could escape into the water and cause major problems!

It's the right thing to do. The only way to prevent future tragedy is to properly and safely investigate when things like this happen. I thought this was law for commercial vessels?

The family and community deserve a safe and respectful salvage of the boat and their loved ones if possible.

The environmental impact is a concern as well.

If they don't get on this a federal enquiry is warranted.

Answers are needed so that this sort of accident won't happen again. The tragedy involves both human lives and environmental damage. If it were a plane that went down, there would be no question of not investigating properly. The same should be true of water craft.

I'm signing because these families deserve answers as to why they lost their love ones and why there is a lack of regulations on tugboats when its in essence a water tow truck

I am signing for two reasons. The fist is because the family and friends of the injured and deceased deserve answers. Secondly, if if the boat is really full of fuel, it needs to be removed for environmental reasons.
